Sitting in Backyard Bowls in Santa Barbara, eating an agave, spirulina, acai bowl and listening to the gents at the table next to me talk about how buying tomatoes in the wintertime is a bad idea, because Florida is the only environment hot enough to grow them, but the soil is pumped with hormones to make it suitable for a warm weather plant to grow in the winter.
